This page explains what we store in your browser, why, and how to remove it. It is short because we use very little.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. On a shop it is what allows a basket to survive from one page to the next: without it, every click would start again from nothing.
What we use
Strictly necessary
- Cart. WooCommerce stores an identifier so the items you added are still there when you reach checkout.
- Session. Keeps your place during checkout so the form does not lose what you typed.
- Login. If you have an account, keeps you signed in between visits.
- Wishlist. Remembers saved items when you are not signed in. Signing in moves the list to your account.
These cannot be switched off without breaking the shop, which is why they do not require consent under the ePrivacy rules.
What we do not use
No advertising trackers. No cross-site profiling. No social media pixels. We do not build a picture of you from what you look at here, and we do not sell browsing data to anyone.
How long they last
Cart and session cookies are cleared when you close the browser or after a period of inactivity. A login cookie lasts up to fourteen days if you ask to stay signed in. The wishlist cookie lasts a year unless you clear it sooner.
Managing them
Every browser can block or delete cookies, usually under Settings, Privacy. Blocking the essential ones will stop the basket and checkout working, because there is nowhere left to keep your order while you shop.
Payment provider
When you pay, our payment provider may set cookies of its own to detect fraud. Those are governed by that provider’s privacy policy, not this one.
Changes
If we ever add anything beyond the list above, this page changes before the cookie does. Questions go to support@teemcw.com.
